The Process

1) Once you have made the decision to do your roof with us, our production department will contact you and tell you the week for the work to be started. Two to three days before we begin you will be reminded of the approaching start date and material will be delivered by a Dale's Roofing Delivery Truck (Not a third-party vendor). The day before job starts, you will be notified that the job will start the following morning.

2) Once our crew has arrived at the job, the installation crew leader and our quality control inspector will go over the work order and discuss the job with you.

3) We will back the company truck and trailer into the driveway and begin our set up for the job. (Note: No vehicle will ever be driven onto grassy areas without permission). Our set up begins with property protection, which consists of spreading tarps under the areas we will be working and setting up plywood to protect your lawn, landscapes, driveway, decks, etc.

4) Our roofing crew will begin with tearing off the back slope of your roof. As the old shingles are being removed, we pick up the trash and carry it to the dump trailer in your driveway. After the tear off of one slope is complete, we will completely clean and prepare the roof deck for shingle installation. This step includes re-nailing all of your roofs decking and replacing any bad decking. All tarps will be removed off your lawn under this section and moved to the next section to be torn off.

5) After back slope has been cleaned up and prepared we will install the underlayment (felt paper, ice shield or synthetic felt) on all of the roofs deck and new drip edge will be installed. Now the shingles are ready to be installed. Each slope of roof is done in sections. We always start on rear slope and work around to front slope. We only start the next section when the last section is completely dried in.

6) Once all shingles have been installed and everything is properly sealed, the roof and gutters will be blown clear of all loose debris.

7) Your driveway, sidewalk, decks, etc. will be swept and blown off. A large yard magnet will be used in the front and back yards to pick up any loose nails.

8) After our installation crew has completed the roof, our quality control inspector will do a walk around with the crew leader and complete an inspection of the work performed. After the work has passed inspection, both the inspector and crew leader will sign the inspection form and turn it into the office. The quality control inspector will let you know the job has been completed and answer any questions that you might have.

9) Before an invoice for the work gets processed you will receive one last call from our production department to make sure you are completely satisfied.
